Tour category : Fun Attraction Regency : Klungkung Kerta Gosa is located in the heart of Semarapura town, 40 km east of Denpasar. Kerta Gosa is the name of the former Royal Courts of Justice in Klungkung. This building was used by the king of Bali to announce the legislation, jurisdiction, penalization etc. The gardens of Taman Gili, in which Kerta Gosa sits, were built in 1710. The most impressive thing of Kerta Gosa is the decorated ceiling containing terrifying artwork depicting good vs. evil and the punishment of hell, an answer for Dante’s depiction of hell.
